Souten Kaiho, a glamping facility where guests can enjoy barbecues and saunas while gazing out over the Sea of Japan, has opened on a hill near the Gozu Coast in Gochi, Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
The glamping facility “Sotenkaiho” opened last weekend on a hill in Gochikokubu, Joetsu City, overlooking the Gozu Coast.
There are seven different types of dome tents overlooking the ocean, sleeping up to four or six people depending on the tent.
Each tent has a trailer house with a kitchen and shower room. There is also a terrace next to the trailer house where you can enjoy barbecue. Hakubiki Highland Hotel manages this facility.

I thought glamping would be the best match to somehow take advantage of this location.”
Accommodation plans include a dog run where you can stay with your pet or a private sauna.
In addition, in cooperation with local surf stores and fishing tackle stores, plans are also available for beginners to experience surfing and boat fishing. Glamping facility fees start at 14,800 yen per person for an overnight stay with no meals.
Mr. Ogawa, Representative Director of Kubiki Highland Hotel
We hope that families as well as couples will enjoy themselves at this event. We hope to have visitors mainly from outside the prefecture and revitalize Joetsu City.
An auto campground with seven lots is also now open on the mountain side of the property. For more information, please visit the Sotenkaiho website.
