1.Characteristics of slopes and courses

The 1,000-meter-high snow resort “Ikarao Kogen Ski Resort” is located on the border between Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture and Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture.

The 30 courses with a rich variety of courses to enjoy on 100% natural snow are the largest in Japan, and are challenging enough for beginners and families as well as intermediate and advanced skiers.There are also 10 tree run courses through the forest that are as close to nature as possible, where you can enjoy abundant snowfall and excellent powder snow!(Junior:30% Intermediate:35% Senior:35%)。

The slopes include a grooming barn where you can enjoy the conditions first thing in the morning, and a snow park for beginner and intermediate snowboarders where you can enjoy boxes and jumps! The slopes become more steep toward the top of the mountain and less steep as one descends to the foot of the mountain, making the upper slopes popular as powder slopes.

The kids’ park near the entrance is equipped with a moving walkway snow escalator so that they can play without having to walk up the slope.The kids’ park has an indoor kids’ room with playground equipment, so children can play indoors even when the weather is bad.

It is also connected to Tangram Ski Circus on the right side of the map, and if you purchase a Mountain Pass (common lift ticket), you can enjoy skiing and riding at the two ski resorts.

If you visit the ski resort, you should definitely see the view from the top of the mountain.The view of Lake Nojiri below, Mt. Kurohime and Mt. Myoko in front, and as far as the Northern Alps in the distance is breathtaking.You can enjoy the excitement of nature with your eyes as well.

On December 31, there will be a countdown fireworks display at 24:00 as part of a special year-end nighttime operation.

Free Beginner Boarding Lesson
■Date & Time: Saturday, December 23 – Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 9:30am, 11:00am, and 1:30pm every day.
■Meeting place: In front of the Information Center next to the 1st lift landing
■Target: Holders of 1-day lift tickets

Night skiing tickets: Adults 3000 yen, seniors 2500 yen, elementary school students 2000 yen. Lift 1-day pass (common for all Tangrams): Adults 7,000 yen, seniors 6,500 yen, elementary school students 4,000 yen

AKI’S BURGER in Tirol” near the 5th lift has an authentic espresso machine, a billiard table (free of charge), and sofa seating for a relaxing time.。

We recommend the double cheeseburger made with Angus beef. The patty is juicy and full of sauce, the bun is crisp and fluffy, and the dish is hearty and satisfying.
