Joetsu Myoko NOUVEAU, a new product only available at this time of the year, was launched on Thursday, January 17, in collaboration with sake stores in Joetsu City and Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, and the Ayumu Masamune Sake Brewery.
New Product “Joetsu Myoko Nouveau
Joetsu Myoko Nouveau is a junmai ginjo-shu (pure rice ginjo-shu) nama sake. It was planned by Sake Rabo, an organization made up of nine sake stores in Joetsu and Myoko.
Sake Labo Tatsunori Iijima (Hoteiya Sake Shop, Joetsu City)
I wanted to make a sake that people could enjoy and think about Joetsu City and Myoko City, so I planned this project and asked the brewer to make it for me.
Joetsu Myoko Nouveau was brewed by the Ayumemasamune Sake Brewery in Myoko City. The junmai ginjo nama sake produced earlier this month was bottled without storage, whereas it would normally be stored for several months. This means you can enjoy a freshly brewed, fresh sake.
The design of the label was based on a postage stamp motif and matched the topography of Joetsu and Myoko City.
Sake Rabo Tatsunori Iijima
The ban on this sake will be lifted on November 17. I hope you enjoy this fresh junmai ginjo that can only be enjoyed with this sake.”
Each bottle of Joetsu Myoko Nouveau is 720ml and costs 2,250 yen including tax. It can be purchased at 9 sake stores in Joetsu City and Myoko City.
