Enjoy the spectacular view from the sky of the dyeing autumn leaves!

Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort, located in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, will open its gondola for fall skiing from tomorrow, Saturday, August 8.

The gondola at Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort is 3,074 meters long, and it takes about 15 minutes each way from the gondola station to the summit station, which is about 1,500 meters above sea level.

From the observation deck at the viewpoint near the summit station, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains of Kita-Shinano in front of you. Lake Nojiri can also be seen below. According to Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort, if you are lucky, you can even see Mt.

A walking trail is maintained around the summit station, and many broadleaf trees such as beech and oak grow wild. Visitors can enjoy autumn leaf viewing and forest bathing in this untouched wilderness. According to the Suginohara Ski Resort, the best time to view the autumn leaves is usually from around October 20 to the latter half of the year.

*Note that, again this year, as a Corona measure, only family members or members of the same group will be allowed to ride the same gondola.
