Focusing on camps that have become increasingly popular in recent years, we are doing our best to publicize the campgrounds that are open in the Joetsu area (Joetsu City, Myoko City, Itoigawa City). Not only detailed information on each campground, but also spots recommended by the editorial department will be posted. It’s good to have fun with your family, or to enjoy your time as a solo camper. Why don’t you go out to play in the great outdoors?
About 10 minutes by car from Itoigawa Station, Miyama Park is a city park built on a hill near the city. In the large park, there are cultural facilities such as a museum and an archaeological site, and various sports facilities such as an athletics stadium, grounds, and tennis courts. It is a place of relaxation that is widely loved by Itoigawa citizens as a famous place for cherry blossoms in spring, and autumn leaves in autumn.
The campsite is near the Miyama baseball stadium in the park.
Miyama Administration Building
Advance reservations are required by phone to use the campground. On the day of the camp, stop by the Miyama Administration Building to pay the fee and receive a certificate of permission. The campground usage fee is 100 yen per person and 850 yen per tent.
From the Miyama administration building to the campground, proceed about 200 meters south. Turn left at the sign for the Citizen’s Clubhouse Miyama, and after a while you will arrive at the parking lot.
There is a campground about 50 meters up from the parking lot. Cars can be placed next to the site only for loading and unloading, please park your car in the parking lot of Citizen’s Clubhouse Miyama.
Lawn area
Forest area
The campground is divided into a lawn area with a good view, and a forest area. The ground is grassland and soil. The forest area is popular with camping enthusiasts because the trees provide some shade from the sun, and shelter from the rain.

Toilet
There is one toilet and one kitchen on the campground.
Although it is a campground in the park, the various sports facilities are not used at night, so you can spend a quiet time in the forest.
