Focusing on camps that have become increasingly popular in recent years, we are doing our best to publicize the campgrounds that are open in the Joetsu area (Joetsu City, Myoko City, Itoigawa City).  Not only detailed information on each campground, but also spots recommended by the editorial department will be posted.  It’s good to have fun with your family, or to enjoy your time as a solo camper.  Why don’t you go out to play in the great outdoors?

【Open April 5 to mid-November】You can enjoy camping with nothing at all in the extraordinary space of an amusement park!

“Myoko Sunshine Camp” gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy a real camping experience. It has just opened, and can be found at the amusement park “Myoko Sunshine Land”, which is 5 minutes from the Nakago IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway.

This campsite was opened in the lawn area of the amusement park with the support of “CAPTAIN STAG” in Sanjo City, which offers a comprehensive range of outdoor and leisure products.

You can enjoy camping in seven areas. The total area is about 2,500㎡, and reservations are accepted for a maximum of 14 groups per day.

Here you can enjoy camping by renting the latest set of camping goods from “CAPTAIN STAG” or, if you prefer, you can bring your own camping equipment.  There is also a plan that includes barbecue ingredients, so you can enjoy camping without the hassle of bringing your own food.

There is a dog run in the camp area, and you can stay with your dog.

In addition, there are the following benefits!

The fee includes a bath in the observation bath of the attached Sunshine Hotel and a ride on the Ferris wheel at night, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the stars.

Visitors can enjoy extraordinary experiences such as the star-filled sky, the amusement park at night, and the night view of Joetsu City from the top of the Ferris wheel.

For an additional optional fee, you can enjoy cycling on an electrically power assisted bicycle or use a short golf course field with no need to bring your own equipment.

Fully equipped with a spot to stay in the car.
RV Park, an overnight spot for campers, is also provided.
RV Park was opened in the north entrance parking lot of Myoko Sunshine Land, which is a paid parking space for campers, officially recognized by the Japan RV Association.

Four booths (7.5 meters x 6 meters per booth) are located in the north entrance parking lot for camp users only. Each booth is equipped with a 100 VAC power supply, and water, toilets, and a generator (until 20:00) are also available. There is a dog run in the amusement park, and small dogs under 10 kg are allowed.
Fires are strictly prohibited in the RV park. If you enjoy barbecuing or cooking, please use the Sunshine Camp campground (additional fees apply).

■Number of booths: 4 booths (1 booth 7.5m x 6m) *Reservations required by 17:00 one day in advance
■Hours: Check-in 14:00-18:00, Check-out 10:00 the next day
■Fee: 4,000 yen per night per car *4,700 yen per car during GW and Bon vacation periods
■Other facilities: power supply (AC100V), generator (available until 20:00), water and toilets (available from 14:00 to 10:00 the next day), small dogs under 10 kg allowed.
