The event “Iiyama Snow Festival”, which represents the winter of Nagano Prefecture’s leading snowfall area “Iiyama City”, will be held again this year!
The Iiyama Snow Festival in Iiyama City has a huge snow statue lined up with over 50,000 visitors every year.It will be held on February 8 (Sat) and 9 (Sun) this month for two days. The venue is Iiyama City Cultural Exchange Center “Natura” near Iiyama Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
The festival is beginning to be thirty-eight this year, started by local youths to revitalize the area with snow.There are many events where you can experience the fun of playing on snow and the beauty of snow.You can experience the unique charm of this area, such as the traditional culture and food culture of Iiyama.
This year, the venue has been moved to “Natura” and held.Snow statues made by citizens and elementary and junior high school students fill the city. There will be a snow statue contest, an adventure that both adults and children can enjoy, Kamen Rider Zero One Show, Music LIVE, etc.
