Today was the second day of the cherry blossom viewing party at Takada Castle Park, which was in full bloom from the first day, and last night was crowded with people who enjoyed the cherry blossoms at night. The illuminated cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
The video shows the cherry blossoms at night on April 1st, the first day of the cherry blossom viewing party, and the cherry blossoms in the morning on the following day. Please watch.
Sakura Road has been lit up for the first time in two years. It is a one-way street so that it will not be crowded, but there is no confusion among the visitors and they are enjoying the flowers as they please. The famous weeping cherry tree is also in full bloom from the first day.
This year, as a measure against corona, the number of stalls opened has been significantly restricted to 40. The products are only for take-out, and you cannot have a banquet or eat while walking in the park. The Joetsu Tourism Convention Association patrols the park to avoid banquets and eating and drinking.
In Joetsu City, along with the cherry blossom viewing party, we are calling for sufficient infection countermeasures and actions that follow the rules, saying that there is a possibility that cherry blossom viewing visitors will come from areas with frequent infections outside the city.
Sakura Road will be lit up until 10 pm until the cherry blossoms begin to fall.
The name was changed from April 1, 2020, and it became Takada Park ⇒ Takada Castle Ruins Park.
