Myoko Suginohara Ski Area, located at the foot of Mt. Myoko, is only a 9-minute drive from the Myoko Plateau IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Starting this season, smartphones can be used in place of lift tickets, allowing you to go directly to the lift and gondola stations without waiting in line at the sales counter.
It features long and wide slopes with a maximum running distance of 8.5 km.
There are a total of 16 courses (40% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 20% advanced), 80% of which are for beginner and intermediate skiers, and are recommended for beginners and families. This season, as part of the “Kids Free Program,” lift and gondola fares are free for all day for children up to 6th grade. (A lift ticket that can be used throughout the season will be issued upon arrival on the first day.)
From the slopes, Lake Nojiri spreads out below you, and on clear days, there is a spot called “Special View Point” where you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Sugi Park, located in the panorama slope, has a wide variety of rails, boxes, and other items that will satisfy both beginner and advanced skiers.
