The theme is “love. Like the Magellanic penguin, which is said to have the deepest pair bond among penguins, the key chain was created in the hope that it will be a tool to foster attachment to “Joetsu.
。Inside the keychain is a pair of missing Magellanic penguin feathers that have been cleaned and processed one by one. The feathers come in two colors: black and white. The pattern of the feathers changes depending on the position of the penguin’s body, which means that there is also the fun of imagining which part of the body the feather is from.
This is the first time that Umitagari will sell products using penguin feathers. Sales will begin on December 24 (Tuesday), and in addition to web ticket sales with penguin feather key chains and limited sales to Annual Passport holders, the product will also be available as a return gift for Joetsu City’s hometown tax payment.
