1.Features of slopes and courses

Snow Resort God of Romance” is a 15-minute drive from Iiyama Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line and a 20-minute drive from the Toyota-Iiyama Interchange on the Joetsu Shinetsu Expressway. The ski resort has been operating as “Kijimadaira Ski Resort” until now, but from the winter season of 2023, the name has been changed to the current ski resort name after concluding a contract for the naming license rights to use the song “God of Romance” by the singer Kamie Hirose.

The area is spread out on the northern slope of 1351-meter-high Mt. Kosha, with its high-quality snow and open slopes.
A total of 12 courses are available for skiers and snowboarders of all levels from beginner to advanced (40% beginner, 50% intermediate, and 10% advanced).

The slopes here feature some of the widest runs in Japan, with a full range of courses that can be enjoyed by beginners and families. The course is quite wide, with a maximum width of 250 meters, allowing for big turns.

On the other hand, the “Pioneer Course” for advanced skiers boasts the highest slope in Japan, with a maximum slope of 46 degrees, which is so steep that it is like sliding down from the top of a mountain. This is a new type of course where you can enjoy the feeling of sliding down a superb powder course almost vertically.

The family course for beginners includes an 800-meter sledding course, one of the largest in eastern Japan, as well as a kids’ park with fluffy domes and a variety of goods for snow play. A snow park with 15 to 20 items (the A.I. course) is also widely appreciated by visitors.

In addition to the performance by Ms. Koumi Hirose, a variety of artists and DJs will appear to color the entire ski resort with music. In addition, a dynamic fireworks show will be presented to accompany the sound.

The slopes are equipped with restaurants offering health-conscious menus under the theme of Beauty x Health x Winter Sports.Sofa seating, semi-private rooms, and terrace seating with a panoramic view are also available.

From the “original curry rice” filled with the sweetness of locally produced and consumed vegetables to the classic Margherita and freshly baked pizza topped with elaborate shirasu and lotus root, the menu is full of stylish and delicious dishes.
