The outdoor season has arrived! This year, Snow Country Journey again features campgrounds in various regions. In addition to detailed information, we also include our editorial staff’s recommendations for places to stop by. Whether you are looking for a family camping trip or a solo camping trip to enjoy your own time, we are sure you will find something to suit your needs. Why don’t you go out and enjoy the great outdoors?

【Open April – October 31】Just opened in September! All campsites with ocean view!

Del Mare is a campground that opened this September on a hilltop in Gochikokubun, Joetsu City, overlooking the Gozu Coast, about 10 minutes by car from the Joetsu IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.

The location is adjacent to Soutenkaihou, a glamping facility that opened in September, and registration will take place at the Soutenkaihou reception building.

The tent sites in the field are 12 x 9 meters in size. There are four regular sectioned sites, two sections with permanent bell tents, and one section where you can stay in a container, all with ocean views and gravel ground.

The facility is equipped with free shower rooms and clean restrooms with bidet toilets. In addition, all sites are equipped with car access and parking, as well as AC power. You can enjoy the outdoors comfortably with children or women alone.

A dog run is also provided, so pets are welcome.

There is also a wide variety of rental goods available. All of these items have been carefully selected by the staff in charge of camping goods at the popular outdoor store WEST Joetsu.

A large selection of functional outdoor gear is available, including tarps, tents, sheets, shrugs, BBQ sets, calatry sets, cooker sets, fire sets, gas stoves, and chairs.

Reservations can be made through Nappu, a campsite search and reservation site. Also check here for the rates for each plan.

Near the camp site is Sakanaya Uosei, a store selling mainly fresh seafood from the surrounding fishing port, where visitors can purchase food and souvenirs. There is also a discount for users of this camp site.
