The 31st Myoko Plateau Summer Ski Jumping Competition will be held on Sunday, October 13 at Akakura Shanze in Myoko Plateau, Niigata Prefecture. Legendary skier Noriaki Kasai and Myoko-born skier Reruhi Shimizu, who retired in March of this year, will participate in the event as guests.
The 2nd Nippon Beer Cup and the 31st Myoko Plateau Summer Ski Jumping Competition are held to broaden the scope of ski jumping competitions, both locally and nationally, and to foster and strengthen junior athletes. The competition is open to elementary school students through to the general category, with many competitors competing in the distance.

Guests at the event will be ski jumping legend Noriaki Kasai, and Myoko City native and Sochi Olympic team bronze medalist Reruhi Shimizu, who retired from active competition in March of this year. In addition to the competitions, there will be a photo opportunity with both athletes with their Olympic medals on display, as well as a raffle to win luxurious prizes.
