【Open April 20 – early November】Good location to enjoy the great nature of the national park and the view of the Sea of Japan

Yamatogawa Forest Park Takanomine Plateau is a 15-minute drive from the Itoigawa IC on the Hokuriku Expressway, located in Yamatogawa, Itoigawa City, which was reopened in the spring of 2024.Located at an elevation of 220 meters, the camp site offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Noto Peninsula in the Sea of Japan and the setting sun, with the magnificent nature of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park in the background. If the weather is fine, one can see Mt. Amakazari, Mt. Yakeyama, Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Hokoga-dake, and Mt. Kurohime.

The area is large, and you can enjoy camping with a tent on the lawn or relax in a bungalow.

A fully equipped administration building with multipurpose space, shower rooms, and restrooms is located just outside the campground, making it safe to use with small children! Of course, pets are also welcome.

There is a tree house in the forest that is very popular with children and makes them feel like Tom Sawyer.

Bungalow Village

Bungalows are also available, making it easy to enjoy camping without a tent. You may also use it as a resting place to relax in your own private space! There are walking trails in the park for nature walks, bird watching, and star gazing at night.
