Cherry Blossom Viewing Party Poster for 2024
The 99th Takada Joshi Park Cherry Blossom Viewing Party, a major spring event in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, which is one of the three best nighttime cherry blossom viewing spots and attracts many visitors every year, will begin on Friday, March 29.
This year’s Takada Joshi Park Cherry Blossom Viewing Party will be the first one to be held after the new type 5 coronavirus was introduced. In response to this, more than 250 stores will be set up in the stalls this year, and the event is expected to be as lively as it was before the coronavirus disaster.Eating, drinking and drinking are allowed in the venue.
The popular “Sakura Road” will be one-way, as it was last year, to avoid congestion. On the 29th, the first day of the cherry blossom viewing event, fireworks will be displayed at 6:30 p.m.

Lighting of lanterns inside and outside the venue, lighting up of the three-story turret of Takada Castle and Sakura Road
Takada Castle will be illuminated from 18:00 to 21:00 (until 22:00 during the peak season)
Sakura Road is a one-way street

■Traffic Regulations
・Nishibori Dori: All day, all day during the exhibition period
・Oren Plaza Entrance Intersection – History Museum North Intersection: 10:00 – 21:00 during the exhibition period
・Takada Post Office – Gokurakubashi Bridge: March 29 (Fri.) 18:00-19:00 *If bad weather occurs, the event will be postponed to March 30 (Sat.)
・Between Takada Post Office and Joetsu Regional Development Bureau, and between Gokurakubashi Bridge and JGSDF Takada Camp: 10:00 – 21:00 on Saturdays and Sundays when cherry blossoms are at their peak.
This year’s pamphlet includes easy-to-understand information on access to the venue, tourist facilities near the venue, and cherry blossom viewing points in and around the park.
For foreign visitors, by scanning the QR code on the front cover, you can access a page explaining the outline of the cherry blossom viewing event in four languages (English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese). The pamphlet can be downloaded from the Joetsu City Tourism Navi website.
