The sunflowers at Tsunan Himawari Hiroba, a tourist attraction in Tsunan Town known for its 500,000 sunflowers, are partially in full bloom and attracting many tourists.
Tsunan Sunflower Plaza is located on the Okinohara Plateau in Tsunan Town. About 500,000 sunflowers of the “hybrid sunflower” variety are grown in the 4-hectare field.
According to the Executive Committee, this year’s blooms began around the 30th of last month, about a week later than usual. As of Monday, March 7, the second of the three fields is at its best.
The observation deck on the plaza offers magnificent views, and visitors can also enjoy cruising through a maze built in the field.
According to the Tsunan Tourist Association, the best time to see the sunflowers, including the third field, will continue until around the Bon Festival. Tsunan Town’s sunflower field will be open until Thursday, the 17th of this month.
