The “Takada Castle Road Race” will be held again this year on June 4 (Sun.) in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, running through the area associated with Lord Kenshin Uesugi, and registration is now open for four events: 3 km, 5 km, 10 km and half marathon.
The Takada Castle Road Race, now in its 24th year, is an event that starts at Takada Castle Park in Takada, Joetsu City, and runs through the Takada and Kasuga-yama areas. Last year, the first time the event was held in three years, 1,748 runners from all over Japan entered the race.
This year’s course includes a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, each divided by gender and age group, with 34 events available.
According to the organizing committee, the starting positions and times will be staggered again this year, and runners will be asked to submit a physical condition check sheet, disinfect, and take their temperature on the day of the event.
