The 100 year old restaurant “Ukiyo” located in Nakamachi 3-chome, Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, which was closed due to the new coronavirus, has resumed business from June 1st, and summer lunch has begun.
The 100 year old restaurant “Ukiyo” is a long-established restaurant that boasts a magnificent Shoin construction dating back to the end of the Edo period. The historic building is also designated as a registered tangible cultural property.
The feature of each room is the view of the Japanese garden. It is popular for its food and scenery to be enjoyed at the same time, and the number of repeaters is increasing, not only in the local area but also inside and outside the prefecture.
There are four types of summer lunch menus offered by such long-established restaurants.
■Summer holiday Today’s meal set 2,700 yen (tax included)
■ Boar pork cutlet curry set 2,200 yen (tax included)
■ Nodoguro Gozen 3,980 yen (tax included)
■Specialty eel set, 4,980 yen (tax included)
* If you order “Specialties Unagi Gozen” and “Nodoguro Gozen”, you can use Ukiyo’s private room for free.
