Umigatari’s winter tradition “ART OF DOLPHIN” will be held from Saturday, 20th!

Elegant performance of dolphins and trainers!

The winter-only dolphin performance “ART OF DOLPHIN” will begin on Saturday, November 20th at the Umigatari Aquarium Museum in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.

The winter-only Dolphin Performance has been held every year since the opening of Umigatari.

Moving from an outdoor dolphin stadium to a warm indoor dolphin hall, the graceful performance of bottlenose dolphins and trainers unique to underwater is a popular winter tradition.

This year’s theme for the fourth year is “SYNCHRONIZE”. The highlight is not only the cooperation of the two bottlenose dolphins on the music, but also the breathtaking performance in which the dolphins and the trainer are in sync.

In addition, we are challenging a new event in which dolphins swim slowly around the trainer who swims slowly in the water. It is a spectacular performance in which the sense of distance and speed between the dolphin and the trainer are important.
