Toki Tetsu “Setsugekka” Winter special service

Reservations for the special winter service of the Echigo Tokimeki Railway, Resort Train “Setsugekka” will be accepted from September 1st (Wednesday). This train runs in the Joetsu region of Niigata Prefecture.

Setugekka is a resort train with one of the largest wide train windows in Japan, so that you can enjoy the natural scenery along the railway line. This train runs between Joetsu, Myoko, and Itoigawa, and operates mainly on weekends and holidays.
This special service for this winter is a “Crab Course option” and a “Christmas Course option” which are always well received.
[Crab course option]
Enjoy the fresh seafood of Nou Fishing Port, a famous location for Benizuwai crab
Depart Itoigawa Station and stop at Nou Station for about 1 hour. Then travel by bus. Take a tour around “Kaniya Yokocho(Crab Market Street)”, a part of Marine Dream Nou, via “Nou Fishing Port”. On the Setsugekka Train, you can enjoy Japanese three-tiered dishes made with local seasonal ingredients from the Tsurugiya, a traditional Japanese restaurant in Itoigawa.

Enjoy a special night with Iwanohara Vineyard Wine
You can enjoy several types of wine from Iwanohara Vineyard, and the special three-tiered meal from Dúo Celeso in Takada, Joetsu City on the train.
