Experience drumming and sea kayaking in Sado as a memory of your summer vacation!

In April 2021, the Jetfoil “Ginga” went into service on the Ogi-Naoetsu ferry route of Sado Kisen, which connects Joetsu City and Sado City in Niigata Prefecture.  To commemorate the launch,  great-value experience packs that include a round-trip Jetfoil ticket for the Ogi-Naoetsu route, plus special Sado Island experiences, were created..  Here are two recommended packs for this summer that you can experience around Ogi Port from among the 31 experience packs available on the island.

* To use the experience pack, you need to stay at least one night on Sado Island.  Accommodation and transportation on the island must be arranged separately.  There are rental cars, taxis, unlimited bus rides, and electric bicycles  for transportation from Ogi Port.

Sea kayaking experience pack in the most beautiful possible location!

You can enjoy sea kayaking from the Ogi Diving Center, which is about 10 minutes by car from Ogi Port.  Even beginners and children can easily ride.  You can explore around the Ogi Peninsula, which is certified as a Geopark.

You can experience sea kayaking not only in the beautiful blue cave “Ryuo Cave”, but also in the marine park, which is also a colony of seagrass, and in a magnificent location that makes you feel lost in a magical world (like a  Ghibli movie)!

You can enjoy the view of the Ogi Peninsula, which looks like a big bonsai from the sea. You can also float in the sea wearing a life jacket, and enjoy a sea experience unique to Sado.

* Please select the start time from ①9: 00 ～ ②13: 00 ～.

[Recommended Experience Pack 2]
Tatakoukan (Sado Taiko Experience Exchange Center) Experience Pack.
The instructor is a member of the Kodo group!

You can enjoy taiko experience at the Sado Taiko Experience Exchange Center “Tatakoukan”, which is about 10 minutes by car from Ogi Port.  This is a special plan for a limited time, and the instructor is a member of the internationally active taiko performing arts group “Kodo” based in Sado.

You can experience a program that makes use of Kodo’s long tradition and experience.  In the workshop you can try various activities using taiko; you can play with the other participants and have fun!

■ Offer period: July 20th-October 30th (Sat)　* Please note that there are exclusion dates during the period.
* For the experience, select the start time from ①9: 00 ～ ②11: 00 ～ ③13: 30 ～ ④15: 30 ～.
■ Meeting place: Sado Taiko Experience Exchange Center Tatakoukan(150-3 Ogikaneta Shinden, Sado City)
■ Fee: Jetfoil round-trip boarding ticket + experience fee: Adults 9630 yen, Children 4870 yen
* Accommodation and transportation on the island will be arranged by each person.
■ Reservation deadline: 3 days before 17:00
