The summer special exhibition “Trick Art 2021” will begin on Saturday, July 17th at the “Joetsu Science Museum” in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
Trick art is “experience-based art” that allows you to enjoy optical illusions, such as “pictures that look three-dimensional even though they are flat” and “works that give different impressions depending on the viewing angle”.
This year’s exhibits include: a work where you can sit on a swing which has jumped out of the picture surrounded by ladybirds, a work where you can take a picture looking like you are riding on the back of a dinosaur, and a work that hides the faces of some animals when you look closely at the picture.
Not only can you enjoy looking at the pictures, you can also take a mysterious photo that makes you feel as if you are in another world. Of course, you can touch the pictures. Please pose and take nice photos and have fun.
